Rules & Guidelines
Tickets: Individual Ticket- $10. Team Ticket- $30 (Up to 4 people per team). Individuals and teams can purchase tickets at any point during February.
Dates: Each day, starting February 1 and ending February 28
Challenge Rules: For each day in February, Buffalo Audubon will send an automatic daily email at 8:00 am containing a clue for that day. Participants will use the clue for the day to find the red cardinal suncatcher, hidden along the winter hiking challenge route at Beaver Meadow. The suncatchers will be within 6 feet of the trails. The WINTER HIKING CHALLENGE maps will be available at the nature center and the front kiosk in the flagpole lot.
When a team or individual finds the hidden suncatcher, they must keep it AND post a selfie with the tags @OutsideChronicles @BuffaloAudubon #HikeforHearts. Not ALL team members need to be present or in the selfie for the find to be valid. Individuals and teams can only keep ONE red cardinal suncatcher per week (Wednesday-Tuesday). Individuals and teams can find more than one heart in a week BUT can keep ONLY ONE red cardinal suncatcher per week, limiting each individual or team to 4 POSSIBLE ENTRIES into the GRAND PRIZE. Individuals and teams that find more than one cardinal suncatcher per week must leave THEM IN PLACE and TAKE A SELFIE. Individuals and teams must post the selfie to Facebook, using @BuffaloAudubon @OutsideChronicles #AmericanHeartMonth.
Challenge Prize Details:
Grand Prize: One-Night Stay in Beaver Meadow Cabin
Individuals and teams that are the first to find a red cardinal suncatcher and post a selfie with the correct tags will be entered into a chance to win a ONE-NIGHT STAY at our CABIN. You can only be entered to win ONCE PER WEEK. The GRAND PRIZE drawing will take place on March 1st at 3 pm on Facebook Live!
Most Hearts Prize: Gift Card Gear 4 Adventure
Individuals and teams can find multiple "red cardinals" per week. They must find them AND correctly post a selfie on Facebook, with the correct tags for each find to be considered valid. Individuals and teams can ONLY KEEP ONE RED CARDINAL PER WEEK; however, they can FIND MULTIPLE RED CARDINALS each week to be entered into winning the gift card. Questions?
