Birdathon 2023 - Cats In! Lights Out!
Birds have a unique, special, and different meaning to each of us. So, too, is each of our connection with Buffalo Audubon Society personal and distinct. During Birdathon, we combine the love of bird watching during spring migration with support for bird conservation. Each team has 24 hours to find as many bird species as possible in the WNY area. To support a team, you can make a flat donation, or for even more fun, a small donation per species seen.
This is our third Birdathon! As the "See Gulls" in 2021 we spotted 64 species. Last year, we saw 83 species as the "Bogsuckers". This year we hope to top 100 and raise awareness for two of the leading causes of bird mortality with our team, "Cats In! Lights Out!".
Birdathoners are birders and social fundraisers, joining together to make a difference for the birds and habitats of Western NY. Each Birdathoner's personal network of supporters is what helps makes Birdathon possible. If you are not a current member, and pledge $100 or more, you will receive a 1-year individual or family membership courtesy of Buffalo Audubon! Of course, any amount you pledge is very much appreciated!
Birdathon donations are 100% tax deductible as the Buffalo Audubon Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
